FAQs - Packaging Design Newcastle

Here’s some real life examples of how we have brought our clients product packaging to life.

Case Study 1

Nitstuff Australia is a local business from Lake Macquarie that manufactures a plant-based, all natural head lice preventative. Wanting to entice more stockists and thus more sales we were asked to help reposition their product with this in mind. With the end result being a 1000% increase in retail premises stocking their products. Undeniably proving a success for a Packaging Design Newcastle Brand.

From our first friendly meeting with Engineroom the team have been brilliant in all aspects of rebranding nitstuff. The team listened to our story and clearly understood our ideas and specific requirements. We needed a fresh and professional look that reflected the quality ingredients used in Nitstuff. They delivered/produced material that captured the plant-based feel and gentleness of the product. The expert/professional work was always delivered on time and exceeded expectations each and every time.

Our customers love the new design and compliment us on how professional it looks! Better still all the buyers are loving our new design and commenting how amazing it looks. 98% of the time before we even finish our sales pitch they are agreeing to pre-order! Can’t say we have ever been in that situation before.

Thank you Engineroom for the brilliant and professional design work you have given us. You rock!

Sweet William

In brief Sweet William approached Engineroom to inject some life and personality into their current packaging design which was starting to look dated and old fashioned in the highly competitive confectionary market. Their product has always been a leader in the category but since an influx of newcomers to supermarket shelves, Sweet William needed a fresh and exciting new look to keep their products top of mind for their customers.

The new packaging design was rolled out across over 20 SKUS of various products, sizes, substrates and formats. It was important to ensure consistency between the entire range, whilst still allowing for an element of individual product personality.

Packaging Design Newcastle

Engineroom have been our trusted design team for 15 years, and this latest delivery from them on our full packaging rebrand across all 21 products has been truly exceptional work on every level. Their expertise in the field of packaging design is noticed and appreciated at every step of the process.

Going into the rebrand we really weren’t sure of the direction we needed to take but Engineroom guided us through the creative process with high quality concept development that helped us form a marketing strategy as we progressed. Their design work is always fresh and innovative and in line with market trends which ensures optimal success on shelf. The packaging design they have delivered us is bold, fun, creative and perfectly communicates our brand and the product alike.

In line with our rebrand we also launched a new website which we left entirely in the hands of Engineroom to design, build, deliver and host and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome, it looks sensational.

Full rebrands can be stressful territory for any business, especially FMCG’s with large numbers of SKUs, but this development and execution with Engineroom at the helm, has been an absolute breeze and a joy. We have received streams of positive feedback on the new packaging design from both customers and major retailers and have already seen a lift in sales on the new SKUs that have been rolled out. We expect to see this sales growth continue with the new design appealing to a broader consumer base while keeping our brand relevant and cutting through the saturated shelf space in the market.

Sweet William could not be happier with the end result, thanks Engineroom – always delivering five star quality.

Azalea Grapeseed Oil

Deoleo briefed us to redesign Azalea Grapeseed Oil. The brief came about because it was identified the specialty oil segment within the cooking oil category was growing, coupled with market research that found the Azalea brand had the potential to further grow the category and its market share through a repositioning. As a result  of our discover phase we determined the products 100% Pure nature needed to be at the heart of the brand repositioning.

We launched the rebranded packaging for the Azalea range in August 2018. We are certain that it had a positive benefit.  The unit sales of Azalea in first quarter following the pack update were 46% higher than the corresponding quarter the year before.  For the full year following the pack change unit sales were 64% higher than the previous year.

Love to Dream

We were briefed to redesign the Packaging Range for the Love to Dream baby swaddle products. With the core objective being modernisation. The existing packaging was looking dated and as a category leader and innovator, Love to Dream needed to keep their presence fresh. Furthermore the client was concerned with maintaining brand recognition.

With this purpose in mind we also determined there was a consumer need to increase communication and differentiation between the different stages of products. We challenged ourselves to develop clearer on-pack communication for product fabrics, temperature guides, product life-cycles as well as key benefits.

Love To Dream have been working with Engineroom since 2014. We have only wonderful things to say about Bec and her team. Strategy, design quality, consistency, turn around times and overall attitude are their strengths. Engineroom have proved critical to developing our brand architecture which has been rolled out, successfully, worldwide. I have no hesitation in recommending Engineroom, they are a pleasure to work with.
