First Creek

First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The talented family of Hunter Valley wine makers is comprised of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman who, since may 2015 alone, have amassed 22 Trophies and 31 Golds across major Australian wine shows for the First Creek label.

Engineroom worked for some time to create and define a brand vision manual to grow brand recognition and establish First Creek Wines as the leading winery in the Hunter Valley region. Through the research phase there was a common anchor that emerged when speaking with their winemakers and it was ‘balance’. This encompasses not only the exquisitely balanced wines but the complementary forces at work that have built their success. We reflected balance in their tagline ‘Defined by the Hunter, Refined by First Creek’ and reinforced this in their brand through the balance of quality photography and considered typographic treatment.

Through Enginerooms long-standing relationship with First Creek Wines we’ve also had an opportunity to work on a variety of high-end labelling concepts for their award-winning wines which further elevated and strengthened their brand perception.
